Maa-N Boli (Mother Tongue): A Poem for Mothers Everywhere!

This poem was written and sung by me on the first birthday of my first grandchild. The poem is from the point of view of a child asking Mommy to speak to him (or her) in her mother-tongue: in this case, Punjabi. The implications of “mother-tongue” go beyond simply the language of Punjabi, but of the Punjabi culture, and most importantly, of love from the heart.

Dedicated to all newborns and mothers all over the world. Show your appreciation for all the women in your lives. Let me know your thoughts, either by commenting below or on my facebook page
